Prayer Requests

First Family

  • National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 1st. There will be prayer stations set up in the Fellowship Hall for you to visit and pray as you feel led. Feel free to drop by between 10:00 am-1:00 pm. We will conclude that evening with a community-wide Prayer Meeting at the Stargazer Plaza at 6:30 pm. 
  • Camp Fundraiser.... This Sunday, May 4 following worship, is our Camp Fundraiser with a meal, live dessert auction and silent auction.  All proceeds and donations will benefit our Children's Camp (Centrikid) and Student Camp (Crossings at Jonathan Creek.) 
  • Honor National Correctional Officers Week.... We invite all congregants to join others around the community as we lift up in prayer both the correctional workers and those who are placed in their charge. Join us at the Shelby County Detention Center on Sunday, May 4, at 2:30 pm. We will gather around the Center and pray for those who are incarcerated and those that work at the Detention Center.
  • Honoring Mothers by Supporting Moms in Our Community.... This Mother's Day, we're taking time to celebrate not only the mothers in our own lives, but also the many woman in our community who are navigating motherhood in challenging circumstances.  We're partnering with A Loving Choice (ALC), a community resource committed to supporting women and families facing unplanned or crisis pregnancies. ALC walks alongside these women, equipping them with education and encouragement so they can make informed, empowered decisions about their futures. How you can help: We invite you to bring an item that would bless a new mom or family. Suggested donations are diapers, wipes, bottles, baby outfits, blankets, baby soap, shampoo or lotion. 
  • Baby Bottle Campaign Kick-off!.... We're also launching our annual Baby Bottle Campaign. It's a fun and easy way to give back! From Mother's Day to Father's day, simply collect spare change, cash or checks in a baby bottle. Every cent goes directly to supporting the work of ALC in our community. Together, lets show love in action and be source of hope to moms who need it most. 
  • MidWeek Schedule....  Pastor Dan leads the study on Galatians each week at 6:15 pm in Room 303. The Women's Ministry began a study "I Want to Trust You, but I Don't" by Lysa Terkeurst facilitated by Rachel Penick. An addition to MidWeek is a Grief and Loss Class meets, from 6:15-7:30 pm, in the Second-floor Conference Room. The focus of the group will be upon identifying tools for coping with grief and steps to enhance our movement through the loss of a loved one. Our leaders are Jene Hedden and Mark George. This class runs through May 21st. There will be no cost. 
  • Preschool Teacher Appreciation.... Teacher Appreciation Week will be May 5-9. Please see Jessica Smither and the Preschool Committee for ways that you can help.
  • Deacon of the Week is David Durland, April 27-May 3 and Terry Faley, May 4-10.

Children's Ministry
  • Weekday Preschool Registration.... Our Weekday Preschool Ministry registration for the 2025-26 school year is open. The registration fee is $75. We have classes for children who are 3 years old and 4 years old on August 1, 2025. Please e-mail or for more questions or to schedule a tour.
  • Wonder Junction VBS Summer Experience..... Our VBS Summer Experience will be July 20-23.
Student Ministry
  • Student Camp at Crossings.... Students will be going to Crossings Camp at Jonathan Creek on July 7-11th. Crossings is for Students 6th-12th grade. Cost is $375 ($75 deposit). For more information, see Brett Powell.
Worship Ministry
  • Media Ministry Volunteers.... The media ministry needs you! Whether you are tech-savvy or just willing to learn, you can play a vital role in helping our church reach people both in person and online. If you want to serve and make a real impact, contact Martin Gureasko. 
  • Worship Choir.... If you would like to sing with our worship choir, join us for practice on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM in the Choir Suite. Additionally, if you would like to be a part of our praise team, please reach out to Pastor Martin. 
Women's Ministry
  • Wednesday Night Study.... The Women's Ministry's study is called "I Want to Trust You, But I Don't" by Lysa Terkeurst and facilitated by Rachel Penick.  This study will conclude on May 7.
Men's Ministry
  • Men’s Bible Study…. Mike Fackler leads this ongoing study on the book of Genesis on Saturdays at 8:00 am in the Fellowship Hall.  Feel free You are welcome to join them.
  • Men’s Tuesday Morning Bible Study…. Our dedicated Men’s Bible study group continues their 8:00 am meetings on Tuesday morning for breakfast and Bible study at the Cracker Barrel. Stop in and say hello!
Missions/Ministry
  • Mary Sampson WMU.... Our Mary Sampson WMU meets regularly on the first Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel.  You are invited to join them and learn how missions impacts so many across the globe. Their next meeting is Tuesday, May 6.
  • KBC Disaster Relief Warehouse…. The Disaster Relief Warehouse construction is almost finished. We have had donated $37,987 of our $40,000 goal. You may donate online
  • Supporting Disaster Relief Continues…. You can help support Disaster Relief: 1) By donating gift cards to Lowe’s, Home Depot, Visa, Walmart or Tractor Supply and 2) by writing notes of encouragement to our Disaster Relief volunteers who will be serving affected areas. Send both to the Kentucky Baptist Convention, Attention “Disaster Relief” at 13420 Eastpoint Centre Dr., Louisville, KY 40223.
  • Blessing Box Ministry....  What a privilege it is to give to others in need. You can help by making donations to our Blessing Box Ministry. We have two boxes. One is for food items and the other for items such as blankets, jackets, hats and gloves. You may bring your contributions and place them in the wheelbarrow that is located at the office entrance. (If you drop off your contributions in the Go Room, we are unable to get a count of them.) Thank you for ALL the support you have given this invaluable ministry!
  • Supporting Bible Study Fellowship…. BSF is an international organization with students of all ages from all around the world. BSF women’s group is back in full swing on Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:00 am. The Biblical focus for this session is the book of Revelation. Call the church office if you would like to know more about BSF or go to bsfinternational.org
Missions Moment
  • April 27, 2025 - IMB Missionaries 

    Conflict is a part of life, even on the mission field. Pray that missionaries will approach and respond to conflict the way Jesus did, which includes prayer. Pray that missionaries will forgive, seek forgiveness, and pursue unity so that peace might be restored.

Bible Reading Plans
Five-Day Bible Reading Program -- Read through the entire Bible or the New Testament in a year, reading Monday through Friday. You can choose to read the entirety of Scripture or start with New Testament readings to develop a daily habit of Bible reading.
5x5x5 New Testament Bible Reading Plan -- Read through the New Testament in a year, reading Monday to Friday. Weekends are set aside for reflection and other reading. This plan is especially beneficial if you’re new to a daily discipline of Bible reading.
A Bible Reading Chart -- Read through the Bible at your own pace. Use this minimalistic yet beautifully designed chart to track your reading throughout the year.
Chronological Bible Reading Plan -- Read through the Bible in the order the events occurred chronologically.
The Navigators Bible Reading Plan -- Four daily readings beginning in Genesis, Psalms, Matthew, and Acts.
