  • Church Business Meeting... Our next Business Meeting will be held on Sunday, February 22, at 6:30 pm in the chapel.
  • Ministry Fair & Potluck Lunch... Mark your calendar for Sunday, March 1, following Worship. We will have a church-wide potluck lunch together. This will be a time to talk about your ministry area and educate others. You will have the opportunity to learn about and how to get involved in church ministries. We hope to have some of our local partners there that day as well (ALC, Father's Love, etc.). If you would like to set up table for information, let us know and we'll secure one for you. *** Potluck: if your last name begins with A-H bring a Side; I-R bring a Veggie or Salad, and S-Z bring a Dessert *** 
  • Weekday Preschool Registration is now open for church members and those currently enrolled. Please contact Chad or the church office for more information and the link to sign up. General registration will begin on Monday, March 2.

  • The Sending Table... The Sending Table is a new group at Shelbyville FBC who want to learn about how Southern Baptist Missions are impacting the Kingdom and experience missions as a church through giving, praying and going. The next meeting is on Thursday, February 26, 6:15 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
  • Shelby Touched Twice Clinic... Saturday, March 21, 2026. Sign up to volunteer here.  Clothing collection dates are Saturdays on February 21 and March 7. Collection times at the church will be 10:00 am-1:00 pm. 
  • Shelby Touched Twice Event Dates & Times at Shelbyville FBC:  March 17 & 19 - Volunteer Training at 6:30 pm,  March 19 - Prayer Vigil at 5 pm-8 pm, March 20 - Set up after Noon, March 21 - Clinic Hours 10 am - 4:00 pm,  Registration at 7:00 am.  
  • Road to Resurrection will be Sunday, March 29 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. This is a night for families of our church and community to experience Easter. Please be watching for ways to volunteer. We will need donations of candy too.
  • Bible Reading Plans... Begin the new year with a Bible Reading Plan. Check out the list with several options and find that one that works for you to help you grow in your relationship with Christ!

Children's Ministry

  • CentriKid Summer Camp... Our summer camp for 3rd Grade - 6th Grade is July 13-17, at Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, KY. The initial deposit of $125 is now. We will have a fundraiser to help offset the camp fees of $400 at a later date.
  • Emerald Crossing VBS Summer Experience... Mark your calendar for June 14-18 for our Emerald Crossing VBS Summer Experience this summer!
  • American Heritage Girls... AHG is a Christ-centered, character and leadership development program for young girls ages 5- 18 years. AHG meetings are led by Jessi Brown and Angie Brown. Feel free to join them in the Fellowship Hall. 
Men's Ministry
  • Men’s Tuesday Morning Bible Study… This dedicated Men’s Bible study group continues their 8:00 am meetings on Tuesday morning for breakfast and Bible study at the Cracker Barrel. Guests are welcome!  
  • Men’s Bible Study… Mike Fackler leads the foretelling book of Revelation on Saturdays at 8:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. You are welcome to join us.    
Worship Ministry
  • Worship Choir...  If you love worship and enjoy singing, we invite you to join us in the choir.  We meet at 7:30 pm on Wednesdays in the Choir Suite. If you would like to be a part of our praise team, please call Pastor Martin at 502-633-1317.   
MidWeek 
  • MidWeek Meal... February 25th: Blackberry Feta Pork Loin or Fried Chicken, Mixed Green Salad, Yukon Mashed Potatoes, Country Style Green Beans, Biscuits and Assorted Desserts. Kids: Mini Corn Dogs or Half Portion of Adult Entree, Yukon Mashed Potatoes, Country Style Green Beans and Dessert. Wednesday Night Cleanup is by the Living Together Class. 
  • MidWeek Studies... Our winter study for adults focuses on John's Gospel. A different leader each week will cover one of Jesus' "I Am" statements where Jesus reveals his divine identity and purpose, each signifying His unique role in providing spiritual sustenance, guidance, salvation and eternal life to believers.
  • Women's Midweek Study of 1 John... Learn what the life of a true believer looks like. Many of us may think that the disciples were somehow superhuman, which enabled them to live the life of faith we only read about in the bible. But a true believer is not superhuman. A true believer may not always be likable, attractive, specifically talented, or really stand out at all. A true believer rather, is marked by repentance, speaking truth, obedience to the word of God, long suffering, faith and trust in the object of our faith rather than the circumstance. Knowing the evidence of faith based on scripture exposes the beauty and authenticity of true faith. Come be challenged and encouraged no matter where you are in your walk with Jesus. The Women's Ministry Room is #300 on the third floor. There is no cost or book needed for the Bible Study. 
Missions/Ministry
  • Annie Armstrong Easter Goal... Our Annie Armstrong Easter goal is $15,000 this year. Your prayers and gifts to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering® provide support for thousands of missionaries. New churches are being planted in unreached communities and needs are being met.
  • Shelby Touched Twice Clothing Collection... Clothing collection dates are Saturdays on February 21 and March 7. Collection times at the church will be 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. 
  • Mary Sampson WMU... Our Mary Sampson WMU meet each month on Tuesdays at 10:00 am in the Barrett Bible Fellowship classroom. Come be a part of learning about missions and how missions' impact so many across the globe. Our next meeting is March 3.

  • Winter Coats... Instead of giving away your extra winter coats, why not launder them and bring them to the church office so we can give them to those in need.
  • Blessing Box Ministry... We have two Blessing Boxes. One is for food items and the other for items such as toiletries, blankets, jackets, hats and gloves. You may bring your contributions and place them in the wheelbarrow located at the office entrance. (If you drop off your contributions anywhere else, we are unable to get a count of them.) Thank you for ALL of your support to this invaluable ministry!
  • Support Missions... You can support missions while shopping at Kroger! SFBC can earn rewards from Kroger at the same time you earn your rewards and it's free! You can enroll easily. The funds received by SFBC are split between Sunrise Children's Services, Oneida Baptist Institute and Clear Creek Bible College.  
  • Bible Study Fellowship…  BSF is an international organization for women with participants from all ages from all around the world. It's back in full swing on Thursdays, 9:30 am-11:00 am. The new study Exile and Return is taken from the Old Testament. The leader is Laura Lyon. Call the church office if you would like to know more about BSF or go to bsfinternational.org. 
Missions Moment 

European Peoples

Pray for believers facing insults and ridicule for their faith to find strength remembering Jesus' promise of blessing in Matthew 5:11-12. Ask that they will respond with God's grace, remembering "God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
