First Family    

  • Deacon of the Week... is Terry Faley, March 1-7, followed by Dusty Blevins, March 8-14. 
  • 28 Days of Prayer... Join us in preparing our hearts and lifting up those who are furthering the Kingdom of Heaven this Easter Season. We will begin Sunday, March 8, with guides being available here on the What's Happening Page, Daily reminders on our Facebook page, and with paper calendars at church. 
  • Friends Together Luncheon... We invite you to join us on Thursday, March 12, for our Spring Luncheon. There will be a delicious catered meal, warm fellowship and a special program in the Fellowship Hall. Please register now. The cost is $10 per person. All ages are welcome. 
  • SFBC T-Shirts.... We have new SFBC T-shirts for sale! We are taking orders now for adult and children sizes through Monday, March 16. The cost is $15 per shirt and an additional $2 for 2XL, 3XL, and 4XL. Complete this form to order shirts for your family!
  • Weekday Preschool Registration is now open! Please contact Chad or the church office for more information or click here for the links. Scroll down to Weekday Preschool. 
  • Shelby Touched Twice Clinic... Saturday, March 21, 2026. Sign up to volunteer here.  March 17 & 19 - Volunteer Training at 6:30 pm, March 19 - Prayer Vigil at 5 pm-8 pm, March 20 - Set up after Noon, March 21 - Clinic Hours 10 am - 4:00 pm,  Registration at 7:00 am.
  • Children's New Christian Lunch... We will have a New Christian lunch on Sunday, March 22, following the Worship Service in The Rock Room. This is for any child 2nd Grade through 5th Grade who is asking questions about what it means to be a Christian and their parents. Please RSVP with Chad by Thursday, March 19 so we can order the correct amount of food.
  • Road to Resurrection will be Sunday, March 29, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. This is a night for families of our church and community to experience Easter. Please be watching for ways to volunteer. We will need donations of individually wrapped candy. Please bring to the orange bins at the black awning door, (Door #6) and by the church office (Door #1).
  • North Central Baptist Network Meeting... If you would like to be a messenger to our NCBN Spring Meeting on March 15th at Simpsonville Baptist Church, please call the church office. The meeting will be held from 2:30-5:30 pm.

Children's Ministry

  • CentriKid Summer Camp... Our summer camp for 3rd Grade - 6th Grade is July 13-17, at Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, KY. The initial deposit of $125 is now. We will have a fundraiser to help offset the camp fees of $400 at a later date.
  • Emerald Crossing VBS Summer Experience... Mark your calendar for June 14-18 for our Emerald Crossing VBS Summer Experience this summer!
  • American Heritage Girls... AHG is a Christ-centered, character and leadership development program for young girls ages 5- 18 years. AHG meetings are led by Jessi Brown and Angie Brown. Join them in the Fellowship Hall. 
Men's Ministry
  • Men’s Bible Study… Mike Fackler leads the foretelling book of Revelation on Saturdays at 8:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. You are welcome to join us.    
  • Men’s Tuesday Morning Bible Study… This dedicated Men’s Bible study group continues their 8:00 am meetings on Tuesday morning for breakfast and Bible study at the Cracker Barrel. Guests are welcome!  
Worship Ministry
  • Worship Choir...  If you love worship and enjoy singing, we invite you to join us in the choir.  We meet at 7:30 pm on Wednesdays in the Choir Suite. If you would like to be a part of our praise team, please call Pastor Martin, 502-633-1317.   
MidWeek 
  • MidWeek Meal... March 11: Pork Chop with Gravy or BBQ Chicken Quarters, Iceberg Salad, Yukon Mashed Potatoes, Country-style Green Beans, Assortment of Bread and Dessert. Kids: Chicken Nuggets or Half Portion of Adult Entree, Yukon Mashed Potatoes, Country-style Green Beans and Dessert. MidWeek Clean-up is by the Young Adult Bible Fellowship Class. 
  • MidWeek Studies... Our adult study on the book of Genesis resumed with Pastor Dan leading. 
  • Women's Midweek Study... Ladies, how can YOU serve? In 1 Peter 4:10a it tells us that "Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others..."Obviously, what this service looks like in our lives will vary with age, circumstances, and the seasons of life, but all Christ followers should worship Him by loving and serving others. Here at Shelbyville First Baptist, we have various ways to serve. Beginning Wednesday, March 25, we will start a new weekly focus on ways we can serve others in our church and in the community. Come to room 300 at 6:15pm, as we share ways you can help serve others. We will have some special speakers who will share how they are serving in our community and ways we can help!
Missions/Ministry
  • Annie Armstrong Easter Goal... Our Annie Armstrong Easter goal is $15,000 this year. Your prayers and gifts to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering® provide support for thousands of missionaries. New churches are being planted in unreached communities and needs are being met.
  • Shelby Touched Twice Clothing Collection... No more clothing is needed. We have been blessed with enough to meet our needs!
  • Shelby Touched Twice Event Dates & Times at Shelbyville FBC:  Tues. March 17 & Thur. March 19 Volunteer Training at 6:30-8:00 pm / Thurs. March 19 Prayer Vigil 5 pm-8 pm / Friday, March 20 at 7:00 pm, Volunteer Dedication Service / Saturday March 21 Clinic Hours 10 am-4:00 pm. Registration at 7:00 am.  
  • Mary Sampson WMU... Our Mary Sampson WMU meet each month on Tuesdays at 10:00 am in the Barrett Bible Fellowship classroom. Come be a part of learning about missions and how missions' impact so many across the globe. Our next meeting is March 3. 
  • The Sending Table... The Sending Table is a new group at Shelbyville FBC who want to learn about how Southern Baptist Missions are impacting the Kingdom and experience missions as a church through giving, praying and going. You are welcome to join us on Thursday, March 26, at 6:15 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
  • Winter Coats... We are collecting winter coats. Bring them to the church office so we can give them to those in need.
  • Blessing Box Ministry... We have two Blessing Boxes. One is for food items and the other for items such as toiletries, blankets, jackets, hats and gloves. You may bring your contributions and place them in the wheelbarrow located at the office entrance. (If you drop off your contributions anywhere else, we are unable to get a count of them.) Thank you for ALL of your support to this invaluable ministry!
  • Bible Study Fellowship…  BSF is an international organization for women with participants from all ages from all around the world. It's back in full swing on Thursdays, 9:30 am-11:00 am. The new study Exile and Return is taken from the Old Testament. The leader is Laura Lyon. Call the church office if you would like to know more about BSF or go to bsfinternational.org
  • Support Missions…  You can support missions while shopping at Kroger! SFBC can earn rewards from Kroger at the same time you earn your rewards and it's free! You can enroll easily. Visit KrogerCommunityRewards.com and sign in to your account or create an account. Then select First Baptist Church Shelbyville as your organization. The funds received by SFBC are split between Sunrise Children's Services, Oneida  Baptist Institute, and Clear Creek Bible College. 

Mission Moment 

PAKISTAN

Prayer for a new church in Pakistan as the believers go out two by two in their community to share the gospel. One was taken from his bed in the middle of the night and questioned by authorities. Praise God for giving him peace and the words to say during interrogation.
