First Family
- Baby Bottle Campaign .... A fun and easy way to give back is with the Baby Bottle Campaign. From Mother's Day to Father's Day, simply collect spare change, cash or checks in a baby bottle. Every cent goes directly to supporting the work of ALC in our community. Together, lets show love in action and be source of hope to moms who need it most.
- Celebrating Fathers .... On Father's Day, Sunday, June 15, we will honor and remember our fathers 's by collecting for KY Baptist Homes Sunrise Children's Services. They provide care and hope for hurting families and children through Christ-centered ministries. Sunrise is in need of white towels, white washcloths, HE laundry detergent, toilet paper, feminine products, body wash, shower gel, white toothpaste, travel size lotion, lip balm, lip gloss, and small plastic cups (for travelling with snacks). The kids love snacks, i.e. chips, crackers, and popcorn. During worship on Father's Day, we will bring our donations to the alter and pray over them.
- Church Untucked.... Church Untucked begins today, June 1, through July 31. Be sure and pick up Church Untucked postcards to give to your family, friends, or someone you don't know. Let them know they can come as they are and they'll fit right in! Postcards can be found at the back awning and church office entrances as well as the sanctuary foyer.
- Deacon of the Week is Drew Overstreet, June 1-7 and David Durland, June 8-14.

- Wonder Junction VBS Summer Experience.... Wonder Junction VBS Summer Experience is July 20-23, 6:00-8:15 pm each night with Family Night on July 24, at 6:00 pm. Registration and Volunteer Sign Up has now begun. Please sign up children here. Volunteers can sign up here. Please share with your family, friends and neighbors!
Children's Ministry
- Weekday Preschool Registration.... Our Weekday Preschool Ministry registration for the 2025-26 school year is open. The registration fee is $75. We have classes for children who are 3 years old and 4 years old on August 1, 2025. We currently have a waiting list for our 3-year-old classes and our 3 day 4-year-old class. Please e-mail for more questions or to schedule a tour.
- Wonder Junction VBS Summer Experience.... Wonder Junction VBS Summer Experience is July 20-23, 6:00-8:15 pm each night with Family Night on July 24, at 6:00 pm. Student Ministry
- Student Camp at Crossings.... Students will be going to Crossings Camp at Jonathan Creek on July 7-11th. Crossings is for Students 6th-12th grade. The cost is $375 ($75 deposit). For more information, see Brett Powell.
Worship Ministry
- Media Ministry Volunteers.... The media ministry needs you! Whether you are tech-savvy or just willing to learn, you can play a vital role in helping our church reach people both in person and online. If you want to serve and make a real impact, contact Martin Gureasko.
- Worship Choir.... If you would like to sing with our worship choir, join us for practice on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM in the Choir Suite. Additionally, if you would like to be a part of our praise team, please reach out to Pastor Martin.
Women's Ministry
- Summer Supper Sisters (SSS).... This summer, the Women's Ministry invites you to grow friendships through fellowship with our sisters at First Baptist. SSS is an opportunity to meet and get to know fellow First Baptist ladies. You and three other ladies will be placed together for getting better acquainted and meeting in fellowship once a month in June, July & August. Your group decides when, where, and what that looks like...lunch, dinner, desserts, coffee, etc. If you are interested, please fill out a SSS sign-up card and someone from the Women's Ministry will contact you. SSS sign-up cards can be found in church office, Bible Fellowship binders, at the back awning entrance and the welcome desk in the foyer.
Men's Ministry
- Men’s Bible Study…. Mike Fackler leads this ongoing study on the book of Genesis on Saturdays at 8:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. Feel free welcome to join them.
- Men’s Tuesday Morning Bible Study…. Our dedicated Men’s Bible study group continues their 8:00 am meetings on Tuesday morning for breakfast and Bible study at the Cracker Barrel. Stop in and say hello!
Friends Together Ministry
- The Friends Together Ministry is coordinating a trip to Liberty, Kentucky for lunch at the Bread of Life Cafe on Thursday, June 12. The cafe features Southern cooking with a full menu as well as a buffet option and is well known for their homestyle favorites. Transportation is provided on the church van, leaving the church at 9:30 am. There will be time to browse at their Sweet and Gift Shop before leaving for home about 1:30 pm. We will arrive back at the church about 3:00 pm. Your only cost for the trip is your lunch. Advance registration is required by Monday, June 9, and space is limited. All ages are welcome. Missions/Ministry
- Mary Sampson WMU.... Our Mary Sampson WMU meets regularly on the first Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel. You are invited to join them and learn how missions impacts so many across the globe. Their next meeting is Tuesday, May 6.
- KBC Disaster Relief Warehouse…. The Disaster Relief Warehouse construction is just about finished. We have had donated $38,427 of our $40,000 goal. You may donate online.
- Blessing Box Ministry.... Special requests: spaghetti sauce, peas, corn, evaporated milk, and cereal. There are two Blessing Boxes. One is for food items and the other for items such as blankets, jackets, hats and gloves. You may bring your contributions and place them in the wheelbarrow that is located at the office entrance. (If you drop off your contributions in the Go Room, we are unable to get a count of them.) Thank you for ALL the support you have given this invaluable ministry!
- Supporting Disaster Relief Continues…. You can help support Disaster Relief: 1) By donating gift cards to Lowe’s, Home Depot, Visa, Walmart or Tractor Supply and 2) by writing notes of encouragement to our Disaster Relief volunteers who will be serving affected areas. Send both to the Kentucky Baptist Convention, Attention “Disaster Relief” at 13420 Eastpoint Centre Dr., Louisville, KY 40223.
- Bible Study Fellowship…. BSF is an international organization with students of all ages from all around the world. BSF women’s group is taking a break for the summer. However, they will be back in full swing in September. Call the church office if you would like to know more about BSF or go to bsfinternational.org.
Missions Moment

Asian-Pacific Rim: Some locals might say they are Christian merely because they attended a Christian school growing up. Pray for those who have a knowledge of God but no relationship with Him to have an opportunity to hear the gospel and respond in repentance and faith.
MidWeek Meal
Midweek Meals will reconvene on August 13.
During the summer break, we will have Serve Nights. This is our way of blessing others in our community. The dates for Serve Nights are Wednesday, June 11 and Serve Week will be July 20-24 for our Wonder Junction VBS Summer Experience.
