  • Easter Lily Order Form... Easter Sunday is April 5th. Lilies can be purchased and donated to the church to help decorate our sanctuary for Easter. Order forms are located at the back awning, front foyer, and church office entrances. Lilies are $10 each and can be ordered by March 26th. Memoriam and honorariums will be included in the morning worship service. Lilies will be available to take home following the Easter service.
  • Road to Resurrection is on Sunday, March 29, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. This is an afternoon for families of our church and community to experience Easter. Please be watching for ways to volunteer. We will need donations of individually wrapped candy; please bring to the orange bins at the black awning door, (Door #6) and by the church office (Door #1).
  • Adult VBS Registration... Register today! Each day includes Bible study, crafts, snacks, missions, and games. The Legacy Service and Fellowship will be held April 16, featuring a presentation from the KBF. Registration cards are available in the foyer, at the black awning entrance, and in the church office, or online on the What’s Happening page.
  • New Young Couples Bible Fellowship Class... Beginning April 19, Paul and Nancy Sims will lead a new Bible Fellowship group for young couples in Room 310. Please join us in praying for this group as it begins on a fantastic journey.

Children's Ministry  
  • Weekday Preschool Registration is now open! Please contact Chad or the church office for more information or click here for the links. Scroll down to Weekday Preschool.

  • CentriKid Summer Camp... Our summer camp for 3rd Grade - 6th Grade is July 13-17, at Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, KY. The initial deposit of $125 is now. We will have a fundraiser to help offset the camp fees of $400 at a later date.
  • Emerald Crossing VBS Summer Experience... Mark your calendar for June 14-18 for our Emerald Crossing VBS Summer Experience this summer!
  • American Heritage Girls... AHG is a Christ-centered, character and leadership development program for young girls ages 5- 18 years. AHG meetings are led by Jessi Brown and Angie Brown. Join them in the Fellowship Hall. 
Men's Ministry
  • Men’s Bible Study… Mike Fackler leads the foretelling book of Revelation on Saturdays at 8:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. We hope you come and join us.    
  • Men’s Tuesday Morning Bible Study… This dedicated Men’s Bible study group continues their 8:00 am meetings on Tuesday morning for breakfast and Bible study at the Cracker Barrel. Guests are welcome!  
Women's Ministry
  • Women's MidWeek Study... Ladies, how can YOU serve? In 1 Peter 4:10 it tells us that "Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others..."Obviously, what this service looks like in our lives will vary with age, circumstances, and the seasons of life, but all Christ followers should worship Him by loving and serving others. Here at Shelbyville First Baptist, we have various ways to serve. This study is a weekly focus on ways we can serve others in our church and in the community. Come to room 300 at 6:15pm, as we share ways you can help serve others. We will have some special speakers who will share how they are serving in our community and ways we can help! Following are the emphases for each week: 4/1 - No MidWeek; 4/8 - Father's Love; 4/15 - Nursing Home Ministry; 4/22 - WMU; 4/29 - Awake; 5/6 - Love on Room 300 (cleaning and organizing). 
  • Blessed to the Brim Ladies Tea... Sunday, April 26th 2:00 - 4:00 - Ladies ages 4 and up are warmly invited to join us for an afternoon of joy, inspiration, and fellowship as we "fill your cup with blessings." Featuring special guest speaker: Joyce Pittman. Wear your favorite wide-brimmed hat or fancy fascinator for added fun! Spots are limited, so don't wait - register today by clicking here. Worship Ministry
  • Worship Choir...  "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord!"  We invite you to join us as we lift our voices in song on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm in the Choir Suite. If you would like to be a part of our praise team, please call Pastor Martin, 502-633-1317.   
MidWeek 
  • MidWeek Meal... March 25: Chicken Alfredo or Pasta Marinara, Romaine Salad, Steamed Broccoli, and Assorted Dessert. Kids: Cheese Pizza or Half Portion of Adult Entree, Glazed Carrots and Dessert. MidWeek Clean-up is by the Middle/High School Class. 
  • MidWeek Studies... Our adult study on the book of Genesis continues with Pastor Dan leading.

Missions/Ministry
  • Annie Armstrong Easter Goal... Our Annie Armstrong Easter goal is $15,000 this year. Your prayers and gifts to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering® provide support for thousands of missionaries. New churches are being planted in unreached communities and needs are being met.
  • The Sending Table... The Sending Table is a new group at Shelbyville FBC who want to learn about how Southern Baptist Missions are impacting the Kingdom and experience missions as a church through giving, praying and going. You are welcome to join us for our next meeting on Thursday, March 26, at 6:15 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
  • Mary Sampson WMU... Our Mary Sampson WMU meet each month on Tuesdays at 10:00 am in the Barrett Bible Fellowship classroom. Come be a part of learning about missions and how missions' impact so many across the globe. Our next meeting is April 7. 
  • Blessing Box Ministry... We have two Blessing Boxes. One is for food items and the other for items such as toiletries, blankets, jackets, hats and gloves. You may bring your contributions and place them in the wheelbarrow located at the office entrance. (If you drop off your contributions anywhere else, we are unable to get a count of them.) Thank you for your support to this invaluable ministry!
  • Bible Study Fellowship…  BSF is an international organization for women with participants from all ages from all around the world. It's back in full swing on Thursdays, 9:30 am-11:00 am. The new study Exile and Return is taken from the Old Testament. The leader is Laura Lyon. Call the church office if you would like to know more about BSF or go to bsfinternational.org
  • Support Missions…  You can support missions while shopping at Kroger! SFBC can earn rewards from Kroger at the same time you earn your rewards and it's free! You can enroll easily. Visit KrogerCommunityRewards.com and sign in to your account or create an account. Then select First Baptist Church Shelbyville as your organization. The funds received by SFBC are split between Sunrise Children's Services, Oneida Baptist Institute, and Clear Creek Bible College.

"Nora's warm smile is contagious, even as she talks about parents who treated her cruelly for following Jesus. She remains committed, though persecution could come again. Pray for her husband to decide to finally join her in the faith and or God to heal their child.
