Missions Opportunities

The church came to life in the First Century based upon the fulfillment of the promise of Christ that they would receive power from on high.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8

His charge to the church also challenged them to engage the world locally, regionally, and globally.  Based upon that model, we are reaching out...

Locally

To feed the homeless, sharing our faith in the detention center, ministering in group homes, and co-sponsoring Touched Twice, an effort to meet both physical and spiritual needs.  We meet material needs with the utility assistance and we provide food for families as well.

Regionally

We are investing in South Asians in Louisville and helping with disaster recovery in Kentucky.

Globally

In recent years, we have sent mission teams to Russia, Madagascar, Guatemala, Taiwan and India.

Also

Our Women on Mission Groups study and pray for Southern Baptist Missionaries every month.

We support the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions, the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for Domestic Missions, the Eliza Broadus State Missions, and an annual Gideon Offering for Scripture Distribution.
